Opening Night

Opening night of the blog. Felt jealous that my wife had one and I did not.

As you all know, I have been in and out of the house for the last year. Times are pretty hectic around the place that I work but I have seen alot of interesting people and places. I was in East Timor for a while last summer and learned alot from the people that were enslaved by the Indonesians, went to the states and hung out at the Seattle Scene, then finally spent a long time in the Philippines. There I traveled to quite a few islands, talked to alot of people, and saw alot of interesting things. One thing I did learn is I HATE PEOPLE ASKING ME FOR MONEY!!!! It did not matter if I was at a grocery store, walking down the street, or at the ATM. Kids, Teenagers, adults, grandparents; they were all the same. "Oh, look at the whiteman, he must have lots of money!" Whatever!!!!

The group of guys that I work with are all fairly new, over the last 7 months we had grown to like or dislike each other. It was a learning curve for all of us to learn the pet peeves of each other and to keep pushing that button. If we found out about something, it was over. The whole group would just keep pushing until the guy blew up. It was quite humorous and demented, but that is the type of guys we are. They did give me a hard time for certain things that I always say, ie. "Yeah Baby" or "Right on". My boss thought I should of lived in the 70's. But after a month of hearing me say that, the whole group was saying it in conversation to include the Philippinos that I had met. I just sat back and laughed. I got the nick name "Manila AL" because I dress up everywhere I go and I was always on some resort Island or in Manila itself. My wife calls me "Metro", but I just say "LIVING LIKE A ROCKSTAR!".

I got yet another celtic tattoo, this one is completely across my chest. I got it done in Manila and it took a total of 22 hours. Everytime that needle entered my skin, all I could think was how stupid this was. After the completed work, it looks DAM GOOD! It needs alittle touch up but over all I am very proud.

Once I got back to the small island that I visit (home), things settled down for me. It took some time but I now feel comfortable with the kids and wife again. It is hard readjusting your whole life to live like someone else then to come home and be a husband and father. After 2 weeks, the Manila Al has finally settled and Daddy has raised it's head out again. I will try to keep everyone posted on the where abouts of myself and what all trouble I am stirring up. until then
PARTY LIKE A ROCKSTAR!!!

Well you are way to cute to be a Rock Star Al.
FYI: I ask for prayer for you and Randi and the kids every week in Sunday School Class. I pray for you all the time. I print you family picture that Randi sends me every year and it is by my computer and when I see it I pray. I know that you are doing what you love to do, but you worry me to death. You just remember that Aunt Misty from AR loves you and your crew so much.
